Don’t worry if, at Le Lachute, the wind suddenly rises on the fairways, or one of the main pavilion’s doors opens with no one there behind it. This 36-hole complex in the Lower Laurentians is so full of stories and anecdotes that it’s completely natural to feel as if you’ve encountered a few ghosts. Crafted by renowned architects Stanley Thompson and Howard Watson, the two Lachute golf courses are legendary in Québec and even Canada. Considered to be among the most beautiful traditional grounds in the province, the two courses bring you to the very heart of nature. Vistas lined with immense and ancient oaks and maples that would turn a modern course green with envy. Even the cedars, planted throughout the grounds 70 years ago, have become gigantic specimens. The memorable panoramas will soon take your mind away from the main difficulty of these golfing gems: the impressive distance of their fairways.
